The Hound Playground is a locally owned business that caters to all of your needs as a Dog Owner. First opening in 2008 as a Doggie Daycare, and quickly expanding to provide Grooming, Training, and Boarding services to all of the Greater Dayton area. We work hard to ensure that every dog who enters our facility feels safe, and cared for. The Hound Playground is the perfect place for your dog to socialize, and enjoy their day being apart of the pack.
Grooming
Grooming is such an important part of insuring that our pets are as comfortable as possible. Whether you are looking for someone to give your wiggly dog a nail trim, or need someone who can do an intricate AKC standard breed cut, our grooming salon is here offering a wide variety of services to fit all of your needs. We accept dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes.
Dog Daycare
Is your dog bored or suffering from separation anxiety? Bored dogs exhibit behavior that is quite frustrating to you and your family. Many dogs will bark, dig, chew on your possessions, or a variety of other destructive behaviors. The Hound Playground is the perfect place for your dog to socialize! After your dog has passed a behavior evaluation, your hound can play with other dogs their size in our 4000 sq feet of indoor and outdoor areas. They will get to play with toys, interact with friends and have constant attention from humans.
Dog Training
Understanding our dogs can be challenging, but is a crucial part of being a dog owner. Through our training classes we can teach you, and your pup how to best communicate to build a forever bond. Every dog is different, however with using our science based dog training methods we find that every dog can respond appropriately when given the time to do so. We offer group obedience, private training lessons with our experienced trainers, as well as a Board & Train program.
Overnight Boarding
We offer short, and long term overnight boarding. We want to keep your pet as happy & comfortable as possible while you are out of town. We give your dog plenty of outdoor fun & socialization during their stay.
